The Question

I was searching for new ways to display my paper cuts. Canvas? Large 3D pieces? Something else?
Then, within ten minutes, I went to Kian’s room and saw the Gospel. It fell open to Matthew 7:7–8. I read it.
A moment later, I was about to share the passage on Instagram. I opened the app, and the very first thing I saw was a Turkish artist painting in eggshells.
That was it.
I knew instantly.

A Moment of Hesitation
And then I thought: Please don’t tell me this is the way!
The idea felt completely unimaginable for me. I dislike assembling tiny things. I’ve never had much patience for intricate work. Small details usually make me feel restless, unfocused, even slightly nauseous.
All those thoughts rushed through my mind as I remembered every previous experience I’d had with delicate, miniature creations.
Yet the invitation was so magnetic that I had to act immediately.

The First Egg
I had only a few hours at home before flying to Colorado for the AlchemE Mentor Live event. Just a few hours before my early morning flight, I began.
And I did it.
It was effortless. I was completely absorbed, tenaciously focused, and filled with joy. A true labor of love.
The very first piece, and, at the time, the only one, traveled with me to the United States and went straight into the hands of Donny and Jackie.
The Beginning of a Collection
Now, I already have countless new ideas germinating from this first creation.
And so this collection was born.
Each eggshell carries a story of asking, seeking, and trusting what arrives when inspiration knocks.

What Emerges
The first piece has already found its home. Others are now emerging, one by one. Each one is unique. Each one carries its own energy, story, and invitation.
